Question for Mommies...

Just to get a feel for what I'm in for this year, I wanted to know how many kids are in your kid's school classes? I know here in California, we have suffered severe cutbacks due to state debt (thanks arnold) and teachers have been overloaded with kids.....

Last year the kindergarten classes were limited to 20 kids and no teachers aide, this year each teacher has 28 kids and no teachers aide. Is this normal everwhere else? Calling moms in Utah, Virginia, Colorado, Washington, Hawaii, Connecticut, Louisiana and wherever else this finds you my friends, what are your class sizes like?

Back to School!!!

Today was the kids first day back to school. Emma started the Pre-K program and Elias is in the 2 year old program at our local preschool. I was really nervous to take Elias for his first time ever, as he is a huge mama's boy and cries when I leave to get the mail. But he surprised me today....

I have been hyping school for a couple of weeks and Emma is an easy sell, she loves organized activities and play. And Elias keeps saying "mee too" and I keep telling him "yes buddy, it will be sooo fun." Well, with his back pack on and ready, we raced out the door, and up to the building where school is taught and he could hardly wait to get into his seat to start his puzzle. Never mind me, I was on the back burner and he didn't notice that I even existed. I gave him a kiss and out the door I went, wow, he is such a big boy.

Wow, what a great day, now I have 3 hours, twice a week to call my own!
