Summer, summer, where are you? Okay, so I know summer is still officially a month away, but where is the spring weather? I know you've already heard me gripe enough about missing the best weather on the planet, but seriously, what is going on?
Brandon says it's an el nino year and that is why we have 70s one day and 40s the next... and I am not kidding. I was encouraged to know that Utah received some snow today in the valley. Woohoo.... validation.
All I am saying is that it's hard for a girl to plan on what to wear when the weather is so indecisive, am I right?
On a different summer note, our plans for summer are quickly filling up!!! Emma's last week of school is next week and then she starts her summer gymnastics program. Update*** Emma has been asked to participate in the developmental team program, which means my little girl is quite the gymnast She doesn't go to competitions yet, but if she enjoys it and keeps to it, it's not far down the road. I'm not really sure who is more excited for her to move up, we both light up when we chat about it. Although, it's not dance, it's along the same path, and we are excited. Of course, the summer wouldn't be complete with out swim lessons too, even if we aren't in the ocean nearly as much, we are keeping up our skills.
Elias is taking the summer off to enjoy playing outside and continue watching as many movies as I will allow. I see a future movie critic in our future :) After a long discussion, Brandon and I feel that he will have many hours and many years of baseball in his future, so I'm not overloading him with tons of activities while he's only 2.
And at the end of the summer, the kids are spending a week with papa and grandma in Salt Lake. They can't stop talking about it and I wonder why I told them about it so soon. We are counting down the days till we see all of them. I can't go a day without mention of making cookies with Grandma, walking to the store with Papa, and of course, running around the house with Jacob.
Anyway, there I go again, dragging on. Hope summer is shaking up for all of you as well!

I am sympathetic for you as we are in our quite normal rainy season here (when is it not rainy here??) and I am wearing my fleece right now. It's the end of May!!!
