Live and make memories

I have to remind myself as I am driving to swimming, dance, preschool, playgroup, play dates, or toddler class.... that this is the good life. Life is so simple now. I still get to enjoy the kids at home, and that is something I forget in the run around of everyday life.

Soon enough, it will only be memories of this time in our lives and we will wish it all back. Only to have Emma begging to be anywhere other than snuggling me and Elias not wanting to hold me after his nap time.

Just remember that life is too short to have no patience and not fill each day full of experiences that will enhance memories. I have recently realized that my kids (and I am sure this is the case with most) really prefer experiences over belongings. So LIVE like you may not be in this space or place ever again, and enjoy each memory while you are making them so you can look back and remember.

(small as they may be, he has an eye for water)

One year ago this month, the kids just getting really comfortable with sand.

One of our first hikes a year ago to a botanical garden and waterfall... seems like yesterday.

I like this post. It's nice to be reminded of the important things in life. We are starting our busy time of the year. I'll have to remember this as I'm running JJ to baseball, Lexi to dance and worrying about how late dinner is going to be, all while I'm trying to squeeze in an hour workout! Life was simpler when they are little....I miss those days the most, on my most busiest of days now.

I LOVE the picture of you with the kids! So cute!

Love you and miss you.

You're so right! Life is too short to be stressed - I always try to enjoy EVERY stage of the kiddos (even when there are hard parts of that stage) because you'll never be able to get it back. So glad y'all are enjoying life! :)
