I have a problem!

Here's the thing, I love children's clothes. And more so little girls clothing than boys. So, I spend a ridiculous amount of money on clothes for Emma. And almost as equally as ridiculous on Elias. Well, I told Brandon that I would either craigs list the clothes after they were too small or put them on ebay. I have done this in the past and really made a fair amount of money. Well, it's time to purge again, but I am having a really hard time. I have a bunch of Em's clothes that I am ready to list on ebay, but I am so sad about it. I have determined that I am attached to the memories that are associated with the clothes, and not the clothes themselves. And dang, Em looked so cute in them. When I mentioned this to Brandon in hopes that he may have the clothes framed or preserved (joke), he said that I was a goon. Am I over the top on this? ( And I don't mean the cost or amount of clothing I am buying, but the attachment to them?)
And just a little added note, I spend way more on clothes for the kids than myself, but I pass it off in my mind that they are ever growing and need new clothes, and I stay the same size, so I can still wear clothes from five years ago..... also ridiculous, or not?

Just immortalize your old clothes by passing them on to someone who will wear them... like Lily :) Just kidding, but I can really see how easy it is to buy cute little kid clothes :) I hit the sale rack at Gap kids the other day and found some really cute stuff for Lily to wear next summer! Fortunately I'm in "dump" mode rather than "acquire" mode since we're a day away from getting packed up to move!

I totally got attached to certain outfits that held a special memory for me. I saved those ones. But as the years have gone by, my memories start to fade and the outfit can go. I usually always have a picture of my fav outfit anyway. I do though, still have a just a few....:)

And you definitely should NOT, under any situation, be wearing something from 5 yrs ago! Come on Nic, think of frumpy Dusty....don't go there!
