Boys vs Girls

I know it's been said a thousand times, but I never realized how true...... Boys are so different than girls..... really is! As we approach Elias' first birthday, we are at a total loss on what to get him. Sure I picked up a bubble machine and some balls for him to toss around. But what else does a little one year old boy want or need? Now the story is/was completely different for Emma. I could go out right this second and buy her 3oo dollars worth of toys that I know she would love from princess, to polly pocket, littlest pet shop... you catch my drift. The fact is that boys are hard to buy for, and not just clothes.
Next, boys stink and attract dirt. It doesn't matter when I bathe Elias, he needs another bath within 30 minutes, and Emma could stay clean and as she says "smell like roses" for days on end. Why must boys be attracted to all things dirty?
And finally, eating.... nothing gets in the way of Elias and his dinner. He loves to eat and he loves to eat it all fast. While we beg and plead for Emma to eat her chicken for sometimes more than an hour at the dinner table, until we are so exhausted, she gets excused prematurely.
Boys and girls are two different species it seems. But, I can honestly say it's great to have one of each!!!
