I have heard about so many people shopping at their local thrift store and making huge finds. Whether it's furniture, clothes, or fabric. Well, I decided to go today to look for some vintage fabric. I knew I would have to keep an open mind and look at things with a different eye. Perhaps, a bed sheet, or drapes, or even a scarf. Well, I came across this pillow case and I had a light bulb moment. No, it's not entirely vintage looking, but it played on me with a kind of sweet country feel. I thought " why couldn't I use a pillow case for a super simple skirt?" So, I bought this one and a couple other cases for a DOLLAR each.

I sat down to my sewing machine and 10 minutes later, including cutting and ironing, this came out perfect. No kidding, a 10 minute, $1.50 skirt (including the elastic waistband). There was no hem, the pillow case already had one, there was no side seam, the pillow case already had one, I literally made the waistband and that is it!!!!

I could really get used to this!

Happy Summer!
