I finally pulled my sewing machine out again and made something I am very proud of.
She is so excited
She dances around in excitement
If you haven't guessed it, it's the skirt!!! Yay, me. It's been like four years since I've sewn anything and this is my first wearable piece of clothing!! Notice the flower accent I made to put on any shirt she may wear with it! I know I am tooting my own horn, but it feels good.
And the best part, it took me about 2 1/2 hours to make and cost about $4.00. This after I just spent so much more on another cute skirt at old navy. Okay, actually the best part is the anticipation and excitement that Emma had all afternoon. She thinks it's pretty cool to have a mom who can actually make clothes. Well, folks, I bought more adorable fabric, so be prepared to see more exhibits in the future.

You are awesome! Good job on the skirt, and obviously Emma is delighted. Me, I am jealous of your talents here....could I send you my girls' sizes?!
DARLING skirt. I am a closet wanna be sewer (sp?) and am TOTALLY jealous that you can toot your own horn. Keep posting them!
P.S.. Maybe I like being the downstairs tenant? Don't change it... its a title thaty sets be above the rest. Or below, if we are speaking literally? :)
It is really cute sister! Job well done :) I wouldn't be surprised if she tried to sleep in it.
