We are finally settled and all unpacked here in our new home here in the Bay area, Fremont to be exact. For those unsure of where that is, we are about 20 minutes north of San Jose. We have already been over to the peninsula to visit Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, which we loved. We are super excited about all the bay has to offer. There are so many opportunities to be outdoors, which we love.
I registered Emma for kindergarten, which was stressful. The local schools are all really great here, and so they fill up fast. So much so, that they hold a lottery for a lot of the schools because there isn't enough room for all the students. I was lucky enough to get Emma in the 2nd to last spot in the kindergarten program. I am so glad that she will be in a really great program. It is half day kindergarten which makes me happy, I love to have her home with me, and she has the rest of her life to go to school. She will also be starting preschool in April, just so she is on track for kindergarten....
Elias is talking non stop, however we still can't understand everything he is saying. But lucky for us, Emma can. They really have a great time together and are constantly learning from each other. I love to watch them grow.
Brandon started his new job and seems to be liking it. I am liking the set schedule of it and love him having all weekends off. Needless, to say, he has been at work on the little things I need him to do around the house. Almost done though, then we can really relax.
I am enjoying getting to know my way around and finding all the neat things to do around the area. I am busy trying to find emma a dance studio and somewher for Elias to burn some energy off too. We can't wait to go camping and have yet to see the Golden Gate Bridge. Mostly, though, I am enjoying sitting in the back yard and watching the kids play.
We may not be in paradise anymore, but we are cetainly enjoying ourselves in our home by the bay!!!
