We just got back from a long weekend on the Big Island. We had a great time. We really do enjoy Kona and I got some great shots of the downtown district while we were kayaking. That's right, we took the kids out on the open ocean and had a blast. Probably one of the most amazing experiences of my life. A couple years ago in Mexico, I was able to swim with dolphins in a little "sea world" type environment, but that didn't compare to my experience over the forth. We were paddling and swimming along side hundreds of spinner dolphins out in the Pacific ocean. Wild, free, beautiful dolphins all around us. I can not even describe the feeling of being out there experience something so fabulous with my hubby and kiddos. The pictures don't do it justice, and there are some great photos. Anyhow... enough. We also got to enjoy the local little parade and fireworks while there in Kona. And of course, the kids couldn't stay out of the pool.
In other news, Emma is in a summer school program and loving it. She is making a couple new friends and loves her teachers. Elias turns two on Sunday and we are so excited to celebrate making it 2 years with this handful. And Brandon is just completing his masters degree with his final tonight. I am so proud of him. For those of you who do not know, we are done with the Navy come January.... and a Masters will help with that transition out. No, we don't know where we are headed but are hoping to get to come somewhat close to Utah to enjoy family and friends. Keep your fingers crossed, or we may be bunking on your couch.

That's all for now from paradise, enjoy your summer.... I know we are.
